U.S. President Obama eases up on Cuba

Yesterday, Barack Obama lifted restrictions on Cuban Americans travelling to Cuba and relaxed
controls on the transfer of money to relatives on the island.
U.S. President Obama eases up on CubaThe move does not end the trade embargo that has been in place for nearly 50 years but it is a direct acknowledgement that the blockade has failed to change (Cuba's) political system while the lives of
ordinary Cubans have worsened.
